Dr. Schapiro received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 1994, graduating with distinction on the President’s Honor Roll for having a perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average. Dr. Schapiro received his medical degree from the University of Miami in 2000, graduating in the top 10% of his class and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, MI in 2005. Dr. Schapiro was awarded the Robert H. Frost, M.D. Memorial Award for Outstanding Research while a resident. He was inducted into Fellowship in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2007.
Dr. Schapiro was born and raised in South Florida and embraces the cultural diversity of the region. Dr. Schapiro specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques and arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, wrist, and ankle as well as complex ligament reconstruction, joint replacement surgery of the knee, hip, and shoulder and fracture treatment, having received his trauma training at the premier Level I Trauma Center in Detroit..
Jorge De La Rotta, APRN
Jorge De La Rotta is a certified APRN, accredited in USA as a Foreign Orthopedic Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience in trauma and diseases of the musculoskeletal system with a specialty in Hand and Upper Arm Surgery. His work in the medical field focuses on the patient as a primary being in the biological, emotional and social aspects, therefore creating a Holistic Care Plan as well as involving the patient in their own self-care processes. Jorge De La Rotta remains an active Orthopedic Surgeon in Latin America and continues to collaborate with his colleagues in the treatment of orthopedic diseases.
During his Orthopedics specialty studies and Master’s Degree in Nursing Sciences, he conducted multiple research studies on the hospital-acquired diseases that contributed to the prevention of disease and treatment of bone infections.
He enjoys road biking, outdoor adventures, and spending time with his wife Monique and their two lovely Labradors, Mara and Otto.

Milton Menco, PA-C, graduated with honors as a Master of Science in Physician Assistant from Nova Southeastern University in 2011. He has over 7 years of experience in orthopedic care, both clinical and surgical. He is skilled at intra-articular and trigger point injections.
He is fluent in Spanish and conversational Portuguese.
