Another #AlligatorAttack in Florida left a woman without a limb. Between 1948 and November 2012, the@FloridaFishandWildlifeCommission recorded 348 alligator attacks on people. What to do when this occurs? @drbadia, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of @OrthoNOW, suggests:
- Control the bleeding by using a shirt or belt as a tourniquet.
- Place amputated limb in a moist towel or shirt and place it in a bag, and then into ice.
- Seek immediate healthcare.
