The South Florida Business Journal has named Co-Founder and CFO Justin Irizarry as an honoree on their 2016 40 Under 40 list. This prestigious annual program receives hundreds of nominations each year and the publication selects only the best and brightest young professionals in South Florida who have “made waves in both the business world and the community”.
Mr. Irizarry, a graduate of Cornell University and a Wharton School Fellow, was selected for his contributions to the South Florida community as the CFO and Co-Founder of OrthoNOW®, the nation’s only network of orthopedic urgent care centers, and for his work in developing and activating a business model that changes how South Floridians access expert orthopedic care on-demand and at a cost-effective rate. Mr. Irizarry said “I am truly humbled to be selected for inclusion on this venerable list and I congratulate all other past and present nominees”.
OrthoNOW® has been recognized as a 2014 “Top Ten Franchise Opportunity” in healthcare by Entrepreneur Magazine and been featured in Franchise Times, Franchising USA Magazine, and Orthopedics This Week. OrthoNOW® has also been featured on the cover of the South Florida Business Journal (Vol. 35, No. 31) and on the cover of The Miami Herald Business Monday.
Justin’s contributions and leadership have helped OrthoNOW® infuse more than $4 million dollars of economic activity in the South Florida economy alone and has resulted in the creation of more than 40 local jobs. Dr. Badia said “Justin embodies the shift in healthcare that sees clinicians partnering with business and thought leaders to improve patient care and improve costs-efficiency. We are very proud of Justin and believe this nomination is a wonderful acknowledgement of his many contributions to the greater South Florida business community”.
