On October 22, 2013 students from Florida City Elementary located at 364 N.W. 6th Avenue in the city of Miami-Dade were at OrthoNOW Urgent Care Center in Doral, South Florida’s only Orthopedic Urgent Care Center, to get their free physical exams as part of the partnership between OrthoNOW and Special Olympics. For over four decades, Special Olympics has been offering adults and children with intellectual disabilities year-round training and competitions in Olympic-style sports. OrthoNOW is the chief medical sponsor of the Special Olympics Florida this year and these students were some of the 600 plus athletes to receive free physical exams.
OrthoNOWTM Orthopedic Urgent Care Center is a walk-in care clinic located in Doral, Florida with 15 specialists on staff that treat broken bones, sprains, torn ligaments and muscles, cuts, sports, and workers’ compensation injuries. OrthoNOWTM has an in-house digital X-ray, MRI, on-site operating rooms and provides follow up care, and rehabilitation. OrthoNOWTM accepts most major insurance, has extended weekend hours and no appointment is necessary.
